Living by Water Homesite Consultation

Stewardship & EducationLiving by Water Homesite Consultation

The Living by Water Project is a national initiative.

With the support of many of the Pigeon Lake municipalities; past Alberta Stewardship Network Watershed Stewardship grants and with the donations of generous PLWA supporters, this program is brought to you in partnership with Nature Alberta.  Together we bring the Living by Water consultants to your door for free!

Nature Alberta, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization.

Maintaining the health of Pigeon Lake, its shoreline, and its water quality is a shared community responsibility.

A Shoreline Advisor from Nature Alberta meets you at your property, where you show them around.  Please ask them questions and get specific answers for your situation.  Later, they will send you a report complete with recommendations of possible actions you may choose to take for improvement. These actions will help improve the health of Pigeon Lake, increase your property value, and possibly save you money.

Since 2008, 313 Consultations have been done at Pigeon Lake and another 518 at other lakes across Alberta.

On the Living Edge is one of our cornerstone guide books for living by water.  It is currently being updated to include such new information as we are providing in our Alberta Clean Runoff Action Guide.
