2022 June-July - Massive Rainfall Amounts
A massive amount of rainfall was observed throughout the months of June and July in 2022 at Pigeon Lake, causing flooding in many summer village areas.
The map image is for the entire province of Alberta. Pigeon lake was observed to be an anomaly for the spring and summer of 2022 in terms of rainfall and overall precipitation.
Weather data is from the Alberta Climate Information System: Weather Station Data: Battle River Headwaters Station: which is located about 15 kilometres southwest of the lake.
