1908 & 1910 - Steamboat on Pigeon Lake
This steamboat was observed in operation in 1908 and 1910, and was actively utilized around the lake in the early 1900’s. The paddle steamer 'Countess', owned by Rowley's Mill, was used to boom logs across Pigeon Lake. The vessel was also a venue for community parties. A few still remember the dances held aboard -- above and below deck. Adelbert B. Rowley also utilized a smaller boat name ‘Myrtle’ for the logging operations. Both names were those of his daughters.
