1984-12-01 - Diamond Shamrock Well Drilling

“In Dec. 1984, Council posed no objections to Diamond Shamrock to drill wells north of the Village, and permitted the use of the road for transport of equipment. [In approximately 1987], Argentia and Sundance joined as interveners of the exploratory well by Diamond Shamrock, as insufficient precautions were in place for the monitoring and protection of the villagers during the drilling periods in case a blow-out of sour gas should occur.
