World Migratory Bird Day 2023
May 13, 2023 is World Migratory Bird Day! This year’s theme for World Migratory Bird Day is water and so today we pause, and recognize the importance of Pigeon Lake, and other water bodies worldwide. It is imperative that we work together to maintain the health of our waterways as they provide clean water, food, and habitat for birds on their amazing migrations.
“Water is fundamental to life on our planet. The vast majority of migratory birds rely on aquatic ecosystems during their life cycles.
