2022-07- 14 - Water Quality at Itaska Beach

July 2022, water quality along the Itaska Beach shoreline was observed to be deteriorating with the presence of algal blooms creating a film and/or surface scum across the water in patches. Only a day before, the water was observed to be clear. Itaska Beach is located on the North East side of Pigeon Lake which receives the first round of the run-off each spring along with the rainfall run-off throughout the year.
