1972/08/19 - Voilent Wind Storm

Observations by property owners at Sundance Beach included a yellow light across the lake which kept progressing closer while the wind increased in strength. The rain was described as hurting so much a person could not venture outside without a hat. The wind became so strong many tree branches in the area were sheared off along with local sign posts as well.

“About 75 percent of the wharves on the northwest shore (of Pigeon Lake) were washed out and most boats were torn from their hoists.”
