1989 -Tornado Damage North Shore

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F1 tornado touched down at 2:00 pm MDT near Mulhurst, AB. The path and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. For more details click HERE. An F1 tornado is known as a mid-range weather event causing moderate damage. The lower limit is the beginning of hurricane wind speed which includes the following damage: peeling surface off roofs, mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned and/or moving autos pushed off the roads.
