1981 - Opening of Zeiner Provincial Park

Zeiner Provincial Park opened in 1981, and was named after Reeve Aubrey E. Zeiner of the area at the time. Zeiner boasts 123 seasonal camping sites and many flocks of gulls and pelicans have been observed at the beach each year. The sand is observed as coarser than Ma-Me-O Beach. This area is usually the first to have an AHS water quality advisory due to the observations of large flocks of birds which contribute to elevated levels of fecal bacteria.
